The Corolla is an economical way to get from point A to point B no muss, no fuss, and no excitement. With a 132-hp four-cylinder, base L models have a six-speed manual or an archaic four-speed automatic; LE and LE Eco get a CVT. Top-spec S models get the CVT or the six-speed manual. Touchscreen infotainment and Bluetooth are standard; navigation is optional. The Corolla’s not fun to drive and its rivals offer more equipment, so its legendary reliability may be the only justification to own one.
