The Corolla is an economical way to get from point A to point B no muss, no fuss, and no excitement. With a 132-hp four-cylinder, base L models have a six-speed manual or an archaic four-speed automatic; LE and LE Eco get a CVT. Top-spec S models get the CVT or the six-speed manual. Touchscreen infotainment and Bluetooth are standard; navigation is optional. The Corolla’s not fun to drive and its rivals offer more equipment, so its legendary reliability may be the only justification to own one.

Honda Civic 2016

You will think of the 2016 Honda Civic as a small, relatively inexpensive car for buyers on a budget, but this little Honda is so much more than that. This new Civic has daring looks, turbocharged power and a spacious, technology-rich interior for you and your friends or even a few kids. Find out why it's a must-drive compact sedan or coupe.Roomy cabin filled with high-quality materials; lots of trunk space for all your gear; ride and handling expertly balanced between comfort and athleticism; excellent fuel economy and performance from turbocharged 1.5-liter engine; numerous available advanced technology and safety features.Touchscreen interface is a bit confusing and slow to respond to inputs; depending on the tech you want, the Civic can be pricey: slow-responding adaptive cruise control and overly vigilant forward collision warning safety system are irksome. The 2016 Honda Civic is fully redesigned. For now, only the sedan and coupe in the mainstream trim levels are available. A new four-door hatchback body style should arrive later in the model year, as well as a high-performance Si and new Civic Type R. The Civic Hybrid and Natural Gas have been discontinued.
